Revan's Lightsaber: The Blade With No Fixed Colour (Legends)
Share
Revan's lightsaber has no settled colour, and that's the most interesting thing about it.
Revan appears in Legends as the Jedi who broke with the Council to fight the Mandalorians, won, fell to the dark side, was captured, had his memory rewritten, and unknowingly hunted his own former apprentice. Because the story was originally told through a game that let the player choose their alignment and their crystal, Revan's blade was blue, or purple, or red, or violet, depending on whose playthrough you're describing. Later material canonised the ambiguity rather than resolving it.
That fits the character better than a fixed answer would. Revan is defined by having been on both sides of the same war, and by nobody — including Revan — being entirely sure which conversion was the real one.
The hilt is usually depicted as a heavy, ridged cylinder in dark metal, unglamorous next to the ornate Sith designs of the era. Paired with the mask — a Mandalorian trophy taken from a fallen enemy and worn ever after — it makes a figure that reads as neither Jedi nor Sith at a glance.
Revan's crystals in the Legends material carry names like the Heart of the Guardian and the Mantle of the Force, artefacts as much as components.
A heavy, unadorned hilt in dark metal has aged remarkably well as a design. shop sabers
