The Skywalker Lightsaber: One Blade, Three Generations

Anakin Skywalker built this weapon after losing his previous blade during a chase through the Coruscant underworld — a loss Obi-Wan Kenobi never quite let him forget. The replacement borrowed heavily from his master's design: a machined hilt with a ridged black grip band, an exposed activation stud, and a blue plasma blade.
It became one of the most recognisable weapons in the galaxy almost by accident. Anakin carried it through the entire Clone Wars, then turned it on the Jedi Temple. Obi-Wan recovered it from the black sand of Mustafar and kept it for nineteen years before handing it to Luke on Tatooine with the line about a more civilised age.
The blade's history after that reads like a series of losses. Luke carried it to Bespin and lost it — along with his hand — down a Cloud City reactor shaft. It surfaced decades later in the basement of Maz Kanata's castle on Takodana, changed hands to Rey, and was eventually torn in half during a struggle between Rey and Kylo Ren aboard Snoke's flagship.
Rey repaired it. The hilt she rebuilt shows visible seams and mismatched plating — the weapon's damage became part of its design. She carried the repaired blade through the final confrontation with Palpatine, then buried it in the sand outside the Lars homestead on Tatooine, where its first owner grew up.
For a hilt with this much design lineage, the details matter — the grip ridges, the emitter shroud, the weathering. shop sabers
